Using Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide, often referred to as laughing gas, is a conservative sedation option that helps ease patients’ nerves.
To experience the calming effects of this gentle gas, all you need to do is breathe it in for a few moments. After your procedure is over, the effects of the gas will have worn off, and you will be able to drive yourself home.
Sedation Options for Surgical Procedures
When our patients undergo more invasive procedures, like oral surgeries, we offer sedation options beyond using nitrous oxide. These include ingesting a sedative pill prior to your appointment or infusing sedatives into your blood stream using an IV. Before your procedure, your oral surgeon will go over all your options with you.
We offer sedation for these procedures:
- Bone Grafting
- Wisdom Teeth Removal
- Gum Surgery
Our goal is to keep you safe, comfortable, and pain-free during the process.
